- Applicable Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), environmental, legislative and organisational requirements relevant to planning and coordinating panel painting are identified and followed
- Variations in paint mixtures are monitored, assessed and adjusted
- Painting schedules are produced and applied in line with site procedures
- Equipment procedures, settings and operation are planned and scheduled
- Waste minimisation and control measures are planned and prescribed
- Communication with others is established and maintained in line with OHS requirements
- Coordinate painting activities
- Work orders are checked and interpreted to ensure accuracy
- Operators are directed to load and unload painting equipment
- Paint line performance is checked and data interpreted to ensure accuracy and intended coverage
- Paint application procedures and curing processes are coordinated and monitored for quality finish and completion rates
- Painting operations and output are monitored to record possible process improvements and to ensure maximum cost effectiveness
- Painting operations, major problems and equipment faults are investigated, recorded and reported in line with site requirements
- Processes for disposing of excess paint that cannot be stored are followed in line with site procedures and environmental regulations
- Processes for cleaning painting equipment are followed in line with site procedures and environmental regulations
- Modify operations and assess technical developments
- Modifications are made to schedules to ensure optimum performance
- Painting process improvement modifications are documented and communicated in line with site procedures
- Developments in painting processes and related technology are diagnosed for possible improvements
- Technical developments are analysed and assessed for potential incorporation into existing painting procedures
- Proposed developments are authorised, trialled, documented and introduced into site operations
